Promoting agricultural cooperatives

The agriculture sector plays a key role in Cambodia. It contributes around 35% of the GDP, and still employs a majority of the population. Agricultural cooperatives (AC) play a crucial role in the economic development and inclusion of rural communities. By joining an AC, smallholder farmers can access more capital and cut down on individual costs by sharing resources or pooling funds together.
