Cambodia Entrepreneurship Day 2021 will be held on the 21st of September 2021 and organized by the ILO and Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. The event will be held online for the second year in a row and expected to bring over 4,500 young Cambodians together.

Cambodia Entrepreneurship Day (CED) will be held online for the second time on the 21st of September 2021. The all-day event is set to have the highest turnout with over 4,500 youth expected to tune in.

The event will be held through Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) Facebook live and announce five finalist groups that have been working on their original business ideas for the past few months.

In the months prior, more than 4,500 young Cambodians have received ILO’s Ready for Business (R4B) training and submitted group business ideas to be considered. The CED committee – comprised of the ILO, MoEYS and sponsors – selected 25 semi-finalists from 25 different provinces. The semi-finalists were able to then present their innovative business ideas in a virtual demo day to the committee on September 6 and 7.

CED 2021 will be the accumulation of many hours of hard work for the young entrepreneurs, where the finalist groups will be showcased during the event and enjoy a study tour to Phnom Penh in the coming months.

Attendants will also be able to enjoy inspiring guest speakers and an interactive quiz related to entrepreneurship.

Cambodia Entrepreneurship Day 2021 is organized by Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) and ILO, in collaboration with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Pact Cambodia, supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) through Decent Employment for Youth (DEY) Programme, Government of Japan, Smart Axiata and Wing.
